The stunning views and friendly staff made for a pleasant experience, though the decor felt a bit dated. The restaurant served excellent meals, and while drinks prices seem high, the pool and spa facilities were lovely. it was a relaxing getaway, despite some minor disruptions.

Good hotel with free wi-fi, a lovely spa, and excellent staff who once helped me find my lost earring. Their vegan menu is fantastic too! I recommend the indoor pool. I'm coming back for a city break.

Great Location for Business Retreat
The hotel offers stunning views of Lake Windermere right from the bar and restaurant, which added a beautiful backdrop to our meetings. I took advantage of their range of Elemis therapies at the spa, indulging in a deep-tissue massage that really helped alleviate the stress of work. The indoor pool and vitality spa pool were wonderful for relaxing after a long day, and the serene scented garden added to the overall tranquil atmosphere.
Room cleanliness could be improved.

The staff were excellent. Lovely views too. Our daughters had a good size refurbished room. (not suitable for me because shower in bath).
Not suitable for people with walking difficulties. We had a refurbished room to start with, it was very small and mattress hard. It had a shower cubicle but the size of the cubicle made it very difficult for me to get out (I am quite small). The staff very kindly moved us to a very large room. Unfortunately the smell of damp was so over powering I could not sleep and it came home with us on our clothes.

Value for money and such a lovely scenic location. Manager was very friendly and welcoming in the evening and at breakfast too!
Occasional noises from above our room thumping but not of a romantic nature!
